Position Summary:

CAS is currently seeking Technology Interns for Summer 2027. These positions will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Our Summer Intern Program aims to foster a high level of engagement and learning for participants through in-depth immersion into our working environment with our professional teams. Participants will benefit from exposure to a variety of state-of-the-art software technologies and practices, while also expanding their professional network with CAS staff and fellow interns. These connections offer valuable insights into potential career opportunities.

The Internship will run from May 17th, 2027, to August 6th, 2027.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Support the design, development, and enhancement of data analytics solutions — including dashboards, reports, and data pipelines — within an Agile Development team, delivering and enhancing data products across business data domains.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data in Snowflake, and create visualizations and dashboards in Tableau.
  • Apply AI/ML concepts — such as predictive analytics, natural language querying, and GenAI-assisted analysis — to strengthen data insights and support business decision-making.
  • Partner with teammates and product owners to groom and refine backlogs of epics and stories for upcoming development work.
  • Build relationships across the organization through the Summer Intern Program, laying the groundwork for future career growth.
  • Stay current on emerging technology and AI trends through individual and team training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python is required; familiarity with Java is a plus.
  • Exposure to, or coursework involving, cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure) and BI/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts (e.g., machine learning basics, GenAI tools, prompt engineering) is a strong plus.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an open, Agile development environment as well as work independently.
