Summary/Objective
Working in collaboration with the Senior Case Worker, the Case Worker will assist individuals referred to the agency in managing budgets and government benefits.
Essential Job Functions
Works in partnership with the Senior Case Worker to process referrals to the program, including creating the client files, setting up the client in the program software and submitting applications and other paperwork necessary for enrollment.
Assist the Senior Case Worker in completing government reports (including but not limited to: Wage reporting, Representative Payee, Continuing Disability Reports.)
Ensures all bills are paid timely, follows up on any outstanding payments or other issues.
Reconciles the RFMS and PEX card funding program.
Maintains all client files according to established procedures.
Assist the Senior Case Worker in other duties related to the rep payee program.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position requires the ability to work with individuals with a primary diagnosis of a mental illness.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
Employee must be able to travel to other agency locations as needed.
Education, Work Experience, and Competencies
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be competent with email, Microsoft Word, and have some knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Basic banking knowledge.
Demonstrates the ability to manage and balance multiple competing priorities while adhering to and meeting deadlines.
Ability to formulate and sustain positive working relationships with colleagues.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

This job operates in a professional office environment.
Ability to sit and/or stay for prolonged period of times.
Ability to lift files (up to 15lbs), open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
