Batta Fulkerson is a growing personal injury law firm seeking motivated, detail-oriented, and personable individuals to join our team as Personal Injury Case Managers / Legal Assistants.

This position offers the opportunity to work in various aspects of personal injury law, including case management, new client intake, and medical lien negotiations/reductions. While the primary focus will be case management, specific responsibilities may vary based on each candidate's experience, strengths, and the needs of the firm.

We are hiring for multiple openings and welcome applicants with varying levels of experience. During the interview process, we will evaluate each candidate's qualifications and interests to determine the best fit within our team.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on experience and departmental placement, responsibilities may include:

Case Management & Client Support

• Manage and assist with personal injury cases from initial intake through pre-litigation settlement.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and guidance throughout their cases.

• Coordinate medical treatment and communicate with healthcare providers.

• Request, obtain, and organize medical records, billing statements, and supporting documentation.

• Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other parties involved in claims.

• Assist with preparing demand packages and maintaining accurate case files.

• Monitor case progress, deadlines, and outstanding tasks to ensure timely resolution.

New Client Intake

• Communicate with clients and gather information regarding potential personal injury claims.

• Coordinate client onboarding, including necessary documentation and case setup.

• Provide a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience for prospective clients.

• Work closely with attorneys and case management staff to ensure smooth transitions for new clients.

Medical Liens & Reductions

• Assist with reviewing medical bills, liens, and outstanding balances.

• Communicate with medical providers, lienholders, and insurance companies regarding outstanding balances.

• Assist with negotiating medical bill reductions and resolving liens.

• Maintain organized records of negotiations, payments, and settlement-related documentation.

• Support the settlement process to help ensure timely case resolution and disbursement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a personal injury law firm is preferred.

• Experience in case management, legal assisting, client intake, medical billing, or lien reductions is a plus.

• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.

• Comfortable communicating with clients, medical providers, and insurance representatives.

• Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn case management software.

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to support multiple departments as needed.

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
