Your Opportunity

Nyarlu Duwa, meaning Woman House in Wadjari, is a respected refuge and support service that provides safety, accommodation, advocacy and recovery support for women and children impacted by family and domestic violence. The service supports people experiencing immediate crisis, those seeking to safely leave violent situations, and individuals requiring assistance to address violence occurring within the home environment.

As a Case Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable people experiencing family and domestic violence, helping them navigate complex challenges while building safety, stability and independence. Working closely with clients, community partners and stakeholders, you will deliver person centred case management, advocacy and practical support tailored to individual needs. This is an on-site position based in Meekatharra, requiring outreach across the local community and surrounding regions, including regular travel to support clients in remote locations.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a unique regional setting while working alongside a dedicated team committed to safety, empowerment and positive outcomes for individuals, families and communities. Drawing on resilience, sound judgement and a strengths based approach, you will support clients through some of the most challenging periods of their lives while maintaining professional boundaries and promoting long term wellbeing.

Your Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver comprehensive case management and ongoing support to individuals and families experiencing family and domestic violence and complex needs.

· Conduct client assessments, risk assessments, safety planning and service inductions to ensure safe and effective support pathways.

· Develop, implement and regularly review individual case plans, making appropriate referrals and supporting clients through their recovery journey.

· Provide advocacy, referrals, court support and assistance with restraining order processes to help clients access their rights and required services.

· Review family and domestic violence incident reports, make recommendations for follow up actions and coordinate appropriate responses to identified risks.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, government agencies and key stakeholders, participating in interagency meetings and collaborative responses.

· Complete accurate case notes, client records, reports, data entry and administrative documentation in accordance with organisational and legislative requirements.

Requirements for Success

· Minimum Certificate III in Community Services or a related field, with a commitment to working towards a Certificate IV. Experience or qualifications in family and domestic violence are highly regarded.

· Demonstrated experience in case management, supporting individuals with complex needs and delivering person centred outcomes.

· Strong understanding of family and domestic violence, trauma informed practice and the ability to support people experiencing crisis, distress and vulnerability.

· Excellent knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, cultures and protocols, with the ability to work respectfully and effectively within diverse communities.

· Exceptional communication, relationship building and advocacy skills, supported by sound computer literacy and administrative capability.

· Proven ability to maintain professional boundaries, exercise sound judgement and work independently in a remote service environment.

· Strong local community knowledge is highly desired.

· Lived experience will be considered.

· First Aid certificate.

· Full driver licence with no restrictions.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
