Description

Role overview:

The Cash Management Implementation Manager owns client onboarding for Transaction Banking, taking corporate and institutional clients from signed mandate to live, stable usage. The role covers cash management (accounts, liquidity and payment/collection services), SWIFT connectivity (MT/MX, FileAct), host-to-host (H2H) integration, online banking and e-commerce collection solutions.

You will be working closely with Corporate Banking, Product, IT, Operations, Legal & Compliance and China Head Office to deliver complex mandates on time, within risk appetite, and with a strong client experience.

Key responsibilities:

Client implementation and onboarding

• Lead end-to-end implementation of cash management mandates, from kick-off and requirements gathering through solution design, documentation, testing, go-live and post-implementation support.

• Act as the client's main point of contact during onboarding, running project plans, status meetings and issue logs to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

• Ensure complete and accurate onboarding documentation and system set-up, in line with KYC, legal and internal control requirements.

Connectivity and channels

• Implement host-to-host connectivity, including SFTP set-up, encryption/key exchange, file format mapping (ISO 20022 pain/camt, MT940/942, CSV and proprietary formats) and acknowledgement/status reporting.

• Onboard clients onto SWIFT channels (MT101, MT940/942, ISO 20022 MX, SCORE/FileAct), coordinating BIC/RMA set-up and testing with clients and Operations.

• Implement cross-border cash pooling structures, covering structure set-up, participating account linkage, sweep rules and testing with clients and China Head Office.

• Set up and configure online banking for corporate clients, including user entitlements, approval workflows, token/authentication set-up and user training.

• Implement e-commerce and digital collection solutions (e.g. payment gateway, PayNow/QR, virtual accounts, eGIRO/direct debit), including merchant onboarding, API/plug-in integration and reconciliation set-up.

Testing and go-live

• Plan and coordinate connectivity and user acceptance testing (UAT) with clients, IT and Head Office, track defects to resolution, and obtain sign-off before go-live.

• Manage go-live cutover, monitor initial live transactions, and resolve post-implementation queries and incidents promptly.

Stakeholder management and pre-sales support

• Partner with Corporate Banking and Product teams in pre-sales, providing technical and implementation input to proposals, solution designs and RFP responses.

• Liaise with China Head Office and IT on system configuration, enhancements and change requests to meet local client requirements.

• Provide clear implementation updates and pipeline reporting to management.

Process, risk and continuous improvement

• Develop, maintain and execute implementation procedures, checklists and templates; identify and streamline processes to shorten time-to-revenue and improve client experience.

• Ensure implementations comply with internal policies, MAS regulations, technology risk management guidelines and audit requirements; support risk assessments, audits and control testing.

• Capture client feedback and recurring issues, and feed them into the product roadmap and system enhancement requests.

• Keep abreast of market developments, including ISO 20022 migration, API banking and new payment rails, and help the team adapt implementation capabilities accordingly.

Requirements:

• A recognised university degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications.

• At least 5 years of experience in cash management implementation, client onboarding, client service or channels management at a financial institution.

• Hands-on experience implementing: host-to-host, SWIFT, corporate online banking, or e-commerce/digital collection solutions.

• Good working knowledge of payment and collection products, clearing systems (e.g. MEPS+, FAST, GIRO, PayNow) and cross-border payment flows.

• Familiarity with banking file formats and standards (ISO 20022, SWIFT MT, BAI2, CSV), SFTP/encryption, APIs and ERP integration (e.g. SAP, Oracle).

• Strong project management skills, with proven ability to run multiple implementations in parallel and meet deadlines.

• Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, to communicate with China Head Office and Chinese-speaking clients.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage client treasury and IT teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a high sense of ownership.

• Positive, resourceful and independent, with the ability to multi-task under pressure.
