Cash Management Relationship Manager
Position Summary:
The Cash Management Relationship Manager coordinates and participates in the development, sales, implementation, facilitation, and servicing of Cash Management services including but not limited to: Business eBanking, ACH and Wire Origination, Lock Box, Remote Deposit, Positive Pay, Sweeps and Account Analysis. The Cash Management Relationship Manager is expected to work independently and be a strong liaison between the customer and the bank in regards to sales and servicing of our commercial customer deposit base. The Cash Management Relationship Manager will work closely with the Commercial Lending and Retail Banking teams on sales opportunities and coordinate cash management implementation and support services with the eBanking and Deposit Operations teams or system vendors to implement and resolve technical and system issues that directly impact Cash Management products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a high-level understanding/knowledge around all Dime Bank Cash Management products, services and systems and maintains strong consultative relationships with the Bank’s existing Cash Management customer base.
- Manages all elements of the Cash Management sales business cycle to ensure successful product/service implementation including: Interviewing and analyzing customer product needs, conducting a cash management product and fee analysis, preparing welcome packages and on-boarding kits for new customers, recommending credit underwriting standards to establish credit file limits, completing account opening documentation, and performing installation, file mapping and testing of customer files. Responsible for training customers on product usage ensuring best practices and security standards are implemented and prepares annual ACH originator training program for all ACH originators.
- Coordinates with various business units in the planning, development, implementation and execution of the goals that support the growth targets of the Bank. Builds collaborative internal relationships and fosters partnerships with Retail, Commercial Lending and Dime Trust Services. Responsible for sales visits with prospects and existing customers, at times in conjunction with the business units, for deployment of Cash Management Services.
- Originates, grows and maintains a portfolio of commercial deposit customers via referrals and self-sourcing through centers of influence, community involvement and expansion of existing customer base.
- Serves as a trusted advisor by leveraging core knowledge and engaging with clients and prospects in a consultative business development approach. Provides recommendations that add value and deliver strategic solutions for their cash management needs and ensures the continued growth of the bank’s commercial service charge portfolio, increase core deposits and initiate lending referrals.
- Collaborates and assists Deposit Operations/eBanking Associates with support and servicing of cash management customer’s needs to ensure clients receive superior operational support. Handles higher level calls from customers and assumes ownership of escalated client issues and leverages the appropriate resources to champion results.
- Tracks business sales and service activities/data and pipeline report. Presents reports/updates to management as required. Analyzes report for cash management product and service sales usage and service performance levels in order to implement product improvements and solutions that may be helpful to our customers/prospects and develops business plans for new products/enhancements for existing products, delivery systems, service, etc.
- Conducts annual customer site visits and coordinates all annual review functions to ensure customer’s volume levels are commensurate with risk approved authorization limits.
- Build brand awareness for the Cash Management service line of Dime Bank while understanding the competition’s capabilities and gaps to better position our cash management product solutions. Recommends pricing recommendations for deposit products and cash management services to ensure product profitability while remaining competitive. Supports projects associated with development of new deposit products and services.
- Attends meetings and seminars/conferences as needed. Keeps informed of developments, trends, regulations and compliance matters pertaining to cash management products/services and new products/services that the bank offers.
- Represents the Bank through participation in various committees, community and industry related activities. Actively promotes the best interest of the Bank whenever and wherever possible.
- Completes all required training as assigned in a timely manner.
- Performs other support duties as may be required. Performs any functions necessary, within the scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of customer service and responsiveness to the financial needs of individuals, businesses, and organizations served by the Bank.
- Performs all duties in accordance with established Bank policies, strategies core values, regulatory compliance guidelines and procedures
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, and 2-3 years’ experience in cash management services and eBanking knowledge with history of strong working relationships with clients and colleagues. Past background and experience in working with commercial customers in a lending or retail environment is essential.
Knowledge, Skills, Requirements:
- Strong communication skills, listening and negotiation skills in order to articulate ideas and thoughts clearly through various means, including written and oral communication with customers and all levels of the organization
- Experience with cash management applications such as account analysis, ACH, remote/mobile deposit, etc
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high-level of customer service with a pro-active approach to problem solving and good follow through
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple customer priorities is a must
- Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently
- Application of sound judgment in making decisions, with demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge and service experience with digital banking and electronic payment systems and be able to effectively communicate with commercial clients. Candidates will also demonstrate knowledge of the rules and regulations governing payment processing, including but not limited to Regulation E, OFAC, and NACHA Operating Rules.
- Technology savvy- demonstrated proficiency with PC applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- General understanding of bank policies and procedures
