Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our team and provide excellent customer service while efficiently handling sales transactions. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for ensuring a smooth and positive shopping experience. Your role involves processing payments accurately and promptly, handling cash, credit, and other forms of payment with integrity and attention to detail. You will maintain a clean and organized checkout area, assist customers with their inquiries, and work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area at all times.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any billing or payment issues promptly.
• Balance cash registers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with stocking, pricing, and organizing merchandise as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a cashier or in a customer service role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for handling transactions.
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
