Job Purpose

The Cashier plays an essential role in this mission by providing friendly and efficient customer service, accurately processing transactions, and ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
• Take customer orders accurately, answer questions about menu items, and communicate special requests to the appropriate team members.
• Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system to process cash, credit card, and other approved payment transactions accurately.
• Handle cash responsibly and follow company cash-handling procedures.
• Provide customers with accurate change and receipts when applicable.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure customer orders are communicated accurately and served efficiently.
• Assist customers with questions, concerns, and order-related issues, referring more complex matters to management when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary cashier station, dining area, and other assigned work areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices when handling food, beverages, or food-related items.
• Restock supplies, utensils, napkins, condiments, and other items as needed to support daily restaurant operations.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Collaborate effectively with all restaurant departments to support smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Stand for extended periods of time and perform assigned duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Push, pull, lift, and carry items as required by the position, consistent with the physical demands of the job.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management to ensure accurate orders and efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the team's success.
• Be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, mornings, and afternoons.
