Casual Catering Assistant at Beacon Fell Café | £13.45 per hour

The Conference and Catering Team at Lancashire County Council are looking to recruit Casual Catering Assistants who are required to carry out catering duties at Beacon Fell Café, Goosnargh, Preston.

The requirements will be various Tuesday – Sundays, plus bank holidays, between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm.

Catering experience is not essential, but desirable; however full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Duties will consist of, but not be restricted:

  • Refilling of coffee machines
  • Assisting with provision of food and drinks to customers (including basic food preparation)
  • Operation of cash register, operation of the dishwasher and restocking of shelves, crockery and cutlery.
  • Collection and cleaning of used cups, crockery, and cutlery.
  • Assistance with cleaning of kitchen and equipment as per cleaning schedule.
  • Uniform is provided along with a great working atmosphere.

In exchange for your hard work and professionalism, Lancashire County Council is proud to offer the Foundation Living Wage for this post. Foundation Living Wage is independently calculated each year based on what employees and their families need to live. You will also get a 25% weekend and 50% bank holiday enhancement as well as a 12.07% uplift on your hourly rate in lieu of annual leave entitlement.

This position is casual, and you will need your own transport as there is no public transport to this location.
