Skills Required:

strong candidate would have:

• DSW, PSW or SSW Diploma
• Current NVCI/Safe Management
• Current First Aid/CPR
• Able to lift 20 lbs
• Able to perform CPR
• Current/Valid G Driver's License
• Computer Skills: Windows, Word, Excel, Email, etc.

Experience required:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience providing direct support to people with developmental disabilities, complex support needs, or similar care needs in a group home, supported living, day program, community participation, employment support, or related human services setting.

• Behaviour supports, including respectful responses to complex behavioural needs

• Medical supports, including medication administration, health monitoring, and following care plans

• Mobility supports, including wheelchair support, lifts, transfers, and safe body mechanics

• Experience as PSW, Personal care, including lifting, bending, twisting, and assisting with daily living activities

• Employment, community participation, or life-skills support
• Supports to people with a dual diagnosis, Autism, FASD, or who do not use words to communicate

The wage for this position is $22.53 per hour.
