Casual Medical Receptionist

About the role
Lumus Imaging Nundah is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and welcoming team. This is a casual position, with shifts available across our North Brisbane casual cluster.
This role involves working across a number of clinics, including Nundah, Sandgate, Peninsula Private, Murrumba Downs, Strathpine, North Lakes and St Vincent's Private Hospital, with shifts rotating between sites to provide leave and operational coverage as required.
As each clinic has different operating hours and service requirements, working hours and shift patterns may vary, so flexibility with availability and travel between locations is essential.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming patients and managing front desk enquiries.
Coordinate and manage medical imaging bookings for inpatient and outpatient appointments.
Answer and direct incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
Perform general administrative and clerical duties.
Maintain accurate patient records and data entry with a high level of attention to detail.
Liaise effectively with patients, medical professionals, referring practitioners, and internal teams.
Process billing and banking tasks, including Medicare, DVA, health funds, and WorkCover transactions.

About You

Previous reception, administration, or customer service experience, ideally within a healthcare environment.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
A professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
The ability to work effectively in a busy team environment.
