Mustang Cat, the authorized Caterpillar® dealer for Southeast Texas, is hiring a Cat Compact Sales Representative at our Willis, TX location!

As part of our Cat Compact team, you'll help customers find the right equipment for the job, from skid steer loaders and compact track loaders to mini excavators and compact wheel loaders. You'll support walk-in customers, qualify sales leads, develop new business opportunities, and build lasting relationships with customers throughout the Willis market.

This position is ideal for a bilingual (English/Spanish) sales professional with mechanical aptitude, a competitive drive, and a passion for helping customers succeed.

🔧 What You'll Do as a Cat Compact Sales Representative

As a key member of our compact construction equipment sales team, you'll connect customers with reliable Caterpillar machinery and equipment solutions while supporting Mustang Cat's sales, parts, and service business in Willis, TX.

Responsibilities include:

Assist walk-in and inbound customers with purchasing Cat compact construction equipment, including skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, mini excavators, and other machinery.
Qualify inbound sales leads and support outside sales efforts to identify new business opportunities.
Help customers identify equipment solutions based on their applications, jobsite needs, and business goals.
Promote Mustang Cat's equipment, parts, service, and customer support capabilities.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries, equipment requests, and sales opportunities.
Develop new customer accounts and expand relationships with existing customers.
Meet and exceed assigned sales goals and performance targets.
Monitor competitor activity and compact equipment market trends in the Willis area.
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
Complete required professional development, product knowledge, and sales training.

📋 Cat Compact Sales Representative Requirements

College degree in Business, Management, Technical, or related field preferred (equivalent work experience considered)
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery and equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand construction equipment applications.
Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and consultative sales skills.
Professional communication skills (verbal, written, phone, email, and in-person).
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Effective negotiation skills and a competitive, results-driven mindset.
Ability to think quickly, solve problems, and perform in a fast-paced sales environment.
Salary + Commission pay schedule
