CAT III Bahasa Linguist (GTMO)

Torden is seeking a qualified Bahasa linguist for a position on US Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay (GTMO).

Requirements:

• Interpretation and translation proficiency in Bahasa to / from English meet or exceed the level 3 on the ILR scale
• Speaking, listening, reading comprehension of both Bahasa and English
• Demonstrated ability to conduct accurate translation, transcription, and interpretation
• Must have typing and computer skills
• Must be able to think quickly and work in a professional atmosphere as part of a team
• Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in a standard dialect and have broad vocabulary to rarely require assistance for paraphrasing or explanation.
• Ability to follow accurately the essentials of conversations between educated native speakers
• Ability to understand radio broadcasts, news stories similar to wire service reports, oral reports, some oral technical reports, and public addresses on non-technical subjects.
• Due to location of assignment, must meet medical and dental screening requirements as well as immunizations up to date

Security Requirements:

• Individuals with an active TS/SCI security clearance and current polygraph
• All candidates must have a valid U.S. Government Counterintelligence (CI) screening (within 2 years) and valid CI polygraph (within 5 years) for consideration
