About the Opportunity:
Symbiotic Services is seeking a Catalyst Production Engineer to support and optimize manufacturing operations within an advanced materials environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production of catalyst technologies while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and optimize manufacturing unit operations
- Troubleshoot production issues and lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance yield, throughput, and quality
- Collaborate with laboratory teams to validate product specifications
- Support development and implementation of new equipment, procedures, and systems to improve safety and reliability
- Partner with cross-functional teams including product engineering, business development, and customer support
- Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, batching sheets, and related documentation for production staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in heterogeneous catalyst manufacturing (lab to production)
- Experience with alumina supports (extrudates, tablets, or spheres)
- Experience with base metal and/or precision metal impregnation technologies

- Must be located within commuting distance of the facility or willing to relocate
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)
