Chemist Box Private Limited is a growing multi-outlet retail pharmacy chain based in Bihar, currently operating around 20-24 physical stores with a strong expansion plan.

Role Summary

The Category Procurement Manager will be responsible for the procurement of Personal Care and Home Care products for Chemist Box private label.

This is a procurement-focused role and does not include responsibility for sales, merchandising, marketing, or store-level category execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and finalize suitable vendors / manufacturers for Personal Care and Home Care products.
  
• Negotiate with vendors on pricing, credit terms, delivery timelines, MOQ, packaging, and other procurement terms.
  
• Compare vendor quotations, product samples, competitor products, packaging quality, and market pricing before making procurement decisions.
  
• Introduce new products and improve the existing product mix based on customer demand, market gaps, competitor offerings, and business requirements.
  

Requirements

Qualification & Experience

Graduate and above in any stream.

The candidate should have 3 years and above experience as a Category Manager, Procurement Manager, Buyer, Sourcing Manager, or in a next-to-category-manager role, specifically in Personal Care and Home Care products.

Experience in pharma or pharma private label is not required for this role.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Personal Care and Home Care products categories
  
• Strong understanding of raw material and packaging material components
  
• Strong vendor negotiation and commercial understanding
  
• Ability to analyze vendor quotations, pricing, market trends, competitor products, and stock movement
  
• Good communication, Excel, email handling, reporting, and presentation skills

Remuneration

Fixed salary: INR 12 lakhs per annum and above
Variable incentives: Performance-based variable incentives
