Category Manager (Financial Services)

Salary: S$5,500 – S$8,000 per month + performance incentives

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially driven Category Manager to manage and develop assigned financial services product or service categories. The successful candidate will be responsible for category strategy, market analysis, commercial performance and stakeholder management to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
• Manage the performance and growth of assigned financial products or service categories.
• Conduct market research and analyse industry trends, customer needs and competitor activities.
• Identify new business and growth opportunities within assigned categories.
• Monitor category performance, revenue, profitability and key business KPIs.
• Develop pricing, promotional and commercial strategies where applicable.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, finance and compliance teams.
• Manage relationships with strategic partners, vendors and external stakeholders.
• Negotiate commercial terms and support partnership agreements where required.
• Prepare business proposals, reports and presentations for management.
• Analyse customer and market data to identify opportunities for product or service improvement.
• Monitor regulatory and market developments that may affect assigned categories.
• Ensure category activities comply with internal policies and applicable financial-services requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics or a related discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in category management, product management, business development, commercial management or financial services.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of financial products, services or business operations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
• Experience in banking, wealth management, insurance or other financial services will be an advantage.
