Category Manager (Online Exclusive Product & Merchandising)

- Own and drive end-to-end performance of online exclusive products (GMV, margin, growth)
- Manage product categories covering assortment planning, sourcing, pricing, and lifecycle management
- Conduct market, trend, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities that drive sales growth, margin improvement, and category competitiveness
- Work closely with Commercial, and cross-functional teams to review assortments, identify gaps, and optimize product mix aligned with customer needs and business strategy
- Plan promotions with suppliers and execute with commercial buyers
- Develop and analyze reports related to sales, margin, profit, demand planning, and price sensitivity compared to other online benchmarks
- Manage existing suppliers while identifying and developing new online exclusive product opportunities
- Acquire and incubate global and top brands that contribute significant GMV share
- Manage contracts and related documents with suppliers in alignment with commercial terms & conditions (T&C)
- Monitor service quality of online exclusive products, including logistics, returns, cancellations, and overall customer experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or above
- 5–8 years of experience in eCommerce, Omni-channel, sourcing, merchandising, or related fields
- Strong hands-on experience in product sales and supplier negotiation
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze sales, margin, stock, and supplier performance
- Strong connections with brands and key sellers are preferred
- Experience in marketplace or platform-based business (e.g., Shopee, Lazada) is a plus
- A good team player, fast learner, and adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Strong English proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
