Become part of a global procurement organization at the forefront of renewable energy. In this role, you will manage strategic vessel sourcing and supplier partnerships, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of wind turbine components from factory to destination worldwide.

As part of the Transport Procurement function, you will contribute to the development and execution of global sourcing strategies that ensure safe, cost-effective, and reliable transportation capacity for our projects worldwide. Working in a highly international environment, you will support the procurement of complex marine logistics solutions while balancing commercial, operational, sustainability, and compliance requirements.
In this role, you will take ownership of procurement activities related to outbound vessel transportation, driving sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management to ensure capacity availability, competitive commercial terms, and high service performance. You will collaborate closely with Supply Chain and other cross-functional stakeholders, serving as a trusted procurement partner and helping secure seamless transport flows that support the successful delivery of projects globally.
Responsibilities
Lead sourcing and procurement activities for outbound vessel transportation, including chartering, liner services, heavy-lift, and breakbulk logistics solutions
Develop and execute sourcing, negotiation, and category strategies to secure competitive commercial terms, reliable capacity, and effective risk management
Negotiate and manage transportation contracts, framework agreements, and charter party arrangements while ensuring compliance with commercial and governance requirements
Build and maintain strategic relationships with vessel owners, shipping lines, brokers, and logistics providers to strengthen supplier performance and market access
Monitor freight markets, vessel availability, and industry trends to provide insights and recommendations that support business and project objectives
Partner closely with Supply Chain and cross-functional stakeholders to align transportation solutions with project schedules, operational requirements, and business priorities
Act as the primary procurement interface for outbound vessel logistics, driving supplier management, commercial governance, continuous improvement initiatives, and logistics optimization opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline
Proven experience in ocean freight procurement, vessel chartering, project logistics, or a comparable transportation environment
Solid understanding of maritime logistics, including vessel operations, cargo movements, and transportation execution
Experience working with multipurpose (MPP), heavy-lift, breakbulk, or other non-containerized cargo solutions is highly desirable
Knowledge of end-to-end outbound logistics processes, from manufacturing sites to ports of discharge, is considered an advantage
Familiarity with chartering and transportation contracts, including charter party agreements, laytime, demurrage, and commercial shipping terms
Strong commercial mindset with the ability to manage supplier relationships, support negotiations, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders in a global environment
Competencies
Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and supplier management skills in logistics, transportation, or procurement environments
Solid understanding of ocean freight, vessel chartering, maritime logistics, and global transportation markets
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to evaluate costs, risks, market trends, and business scenarios to support decision-making
Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across a global, cross-functional, and matrix organization
Proven project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities in a dynamic environment
Knowledge of commercial contracting and supplier governance, including transportation and freight agreements
Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented team player with excellent communication skills and professional proficiency in English

The primary work location for this position is Aarhus (Denmark) or Hamburg (Germany).
Up to 40 days of travel per year.
