Handles university catering orders, billing, and customer service using office software and databases in a campus dining setting.
40 hours/week
Schedule is based on Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm ~ But will vary based on scheduled events that may include weekends

Duties
Manages university catering requests from placement to completion within the catering system, by inputting orders, processing modifications, issuing confirmations and ensuring accurate billing compliance.
Answers customer questions about contracts and invoicing in person or via e-mail.
Demonstrates familiarity with basic cash procedures, including securely counting opening banks, reconciling and preparing cash deposits
Maintains catering information in a database by entering orders and customer data, creating templates, processing billing, updating menu tables and prices. Creates signs, banners, labels and menus using a variety of software packages. Types correspondences and catering request sheets.
Conducts or documents quality assurance measurements. Enters data into a spreadsheet or software programs to track various dining information such as pricing, recipes, product transfers, customer counts, hours, sales, nutritional information, CPRs, or financial data. May research information for special projects. Assists with the billing or tracking costs for catering events. Completes general office duties such as filing and processing mailings.
Greets customers and answers the telephone in a professional manner. Takes messages or standard catering requests. May pack paper products and handles Taste to Go pickups. Timely confirms final guests counts. Interacts with a variety of personnel from the campus community and outside entities.
Participate in running events to include preparation, set up and break down.
Manage rapid timelines, prioritize urgent tasks and willingness to work with tight deadlines.
Keeps office area neat and clean including removing trash and vacuuming.
Assists with customer service, administrative or clerical duties as needed or assigned by the Director of Dining Services or Dining Manager - Catering.
Pack and support Taste To Go program.
May act as the clearing house for information in their unit and for special events to share with other CAS staff members. Communicates in writing and verbally with various members of the campus and user of the facilities or equipment regarding CAS services, pricing and policies.
Must have valid Driver’s License to operate CAS Vehicles
