Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets for catering, weddings, social events, and other assigned event segments.

  • Handle inquiries, prepare proposals, conduct presentations/site inspections, negotiate commercial terms, and close business with signed Letters of Agreement or contracts.

  • Manage and convert inquiries including weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, social events, and pure catering events, with or without accommodation requirements.

  • Proactively develop new catering and event business through corporate accounts, agencies, wedding planners, event organizers, local partners, and community networks.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through face-to-face meetings, sales calls, follow-up activities, and professional account management.

  • Conduct property tours, attend wedding fairs, trade shows, networking events, and relevant community activities to promote the hotel’s catering and event services.

  • Negotiate contracts and establish agreements with vendors and partners while managing customer commitments and agreed event requirements.

  • Coordinate closely with Banquet, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Rooms, Revenue, Finance, and other departments to ensure accurate planning and smooth event execution.

  • Oversee on-site execution of assigned events and act as a key contact for clients to ensure service delivery and guest satisfaction.

  • Prepare and maintain event documentation including BEOs, group resumes, rooming lists, function schedules, and other event-related documents, and conduct BEO meetings with relevant departments.

  • Review and update sales reports including Definite & Tentative business, GRC and other related reports; share findings and business updates with the Senior Catering & Event Sales Manager.

  • Attend weekly sales, GRC, revenue, and other relevant meetings related to the Sales & Event team.

  • Support forecasting, strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting activities, and identify new business opportunities for the department.

  • Support team members when required to maintain an effective and collaborative working environment.

  • Be available to work additional hours, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event schedules and business needs.
