This posting is for a full-time, unclassified, in-person, on-site staff position for our Bossier campus.
Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of office environment work experience.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe applications, and other applicable computer applications.
- Ability to complete ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must have excellent time management skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent customer service and relationship building/interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Proven ability to motivate others and foster an energizing, cooperative environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
- Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be capable of standing or walking for 50% or more of time.

Job Specification
This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Director by assisting with student intake and assessments at the Cavalier Care Center and supporting operations of the Food Pantry, Graduation Corner, Diaper and Wipes Corner, and Career Closet. The Coordinator will also help deliver services at the Southern Regional Campus while upholding Caring Campus standards and providing high-quality service that supports the institution’s mission.
Job Duties and Other Information
- Greets students, faculty, and staff visiting the Cavalier Care Center.
- Assists the Director with the flow of students into the Center and with facilitating referrals to partnering service providers.
- Assists students who come to the Center with general questions and with referrals to other areas on campus.
- Assist students with the Food Pantry, Graduation Corner, Diaper and Wipes Closet, and the Career Closet.
- Participates in training for ConexEd and Oasis.
- Scans students in with ConexEd.
- Enters data into the Oasis database.
- Assists with ensuring the proper documentation of all students’ data is entered into ConexEd and Oasis in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assists with mandatory reporting requirements for USDA classification for the Food Pantry.
- Assists the Director with reports to various agencies and administrators.
- Maintains ServSafe training and training for Health Department Guidelines.
- Assists the Director in keeping Food Bank paperwork up to date and organized.
- Assists with accurate Food Pantry inventory records.
- Assists the Director in keeping the master sheet of weekly and yearly food donations current.
- Assists the Director with paperwork for Foundation Food Bank payments.
- Drives the van for food pick up when needed.
- Assists in keeping the Food Pantry arranged neatly and efficiently.
- Assists in checking the Food Bank Weight sheet and In-Take form book.
- Assists in filling food orders for clients.
- Assist in keeping the Food Pantry clean and organized.
- Assists the Director with other projects as needed.
- Enters check request requisitions and purchase orders as needed.
- Assists in monitoring the departmental budget.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail as needed.
