CBS - Risk Management - AI Engineer - Risk Management Agentic Solutions

About the role

Risk Management Client Service team is hiring AI Engineer(s) to design, build, and deploy intelligent AI solutions, with a focus on agentic AI capabilities. You will play a hands-on role in transforming business requirements into production-grade AI systems that enhance risk management processes across Greater China. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Tech Delivery Lead, and cross-functional squads while ensuring full compliance with enterprise governance and Responsible AI standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI and agentic solutions to support key risk processes such as customer onboarding, document processing, third-party risk screening, and workflow orchestration.

• Collaborate with Project Manager and Tech Delivery Lead to deliver scalable, secure, and responsible AI capabilities within Agile squads.

• Ensure all solutions adhere to Responsible AI frameworks, data governance, information security, and enterprise standards.

• Support end-to-end deployment, monitoring, optimization, and continuous improvement of AI systems in production environments.

• Contribute to squad delivery, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practices within the Risk Management team.

• Translate business needs into technical AI solutions and participate in requirements refinement and testing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience.

• Proven experience deploying AI solutions into full production environments (beyond pilots or PoCs) in enterprise or regulated settings.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile squads.

• Solid experience with cloud-based AI development and enterprise integration patterns.

• Proficiency in Mandarin; working proficiency in English is preferred for documentation and cross-location engagement.

Preferred / plus

• Background in financial services, risk management, or compliance-related AI applications.

• Familiarity with agentic AI concepts, frameworks, or large-scale automation initiatives.

• Experience with RPA platforms, workflow orchestration, document intelligence (OCR/NLP), or generative AI technologies.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Alibaba Cloud) and relevant AI/ML tools and frameworks.

• Relevant certifications in AI/ML, Cloud, or Responsible AI are a plus.

Location: Beijing / Shanghai / Guangzhou / Shenzhen (base city flexible). Occasional travel within China may be required depending on project needs.
