About the role
ALMA TECHNOLOGY (PG) SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated CCTV Network Technical Support professional to join our team in Butterworth, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our CCTV network infrastructure. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance, troubleshooting complex network issues, and delivering exceptional support to our clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining system uptime, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring that our CCTV solutions deliver optimal performance and security for our valued customers.
Key responsibilities
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for CCTV network systems and infrastructure
Diagnose and resolve hardware and network connectivity issues affecting CCTV systems
Install, configure, and maintain CCTV network equipment and related components
Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they impact clients
Respond promptly to client support requests and escalations
Document technical issues, solutions, and system configurations for future reference
Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal system functionality
Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide customised solutions
Maintain detailed records of all technical support activities and client interactions
Stay current with CCTV technology advancements and industry best practices
What we're looking for
Proven experience in CCTV system installation, maintenance, and technical support
Strong knowledge of CCTV network architecture, protocols, and hardware components
Proficiency in network troubleshooting and understanding of IP networking concepts
Experience with CCTV software platforms and management systems
Solid understanding of video transmission standards and compression technologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients
Customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering timely and effective solutions
Relevant certification in CCTV systems or network administration (preferred)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical capability to perform installation and maintenance tasks, including working at heights
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation
