JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a reliable and technically skilled CCTV & Security Systems Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of CCTV and related security systems at commercial, industrial and residential sites.
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, responsible and capable of working independently at customer sites while maintaining good workmanship and professional service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, configure and commission CCTV camera systems.
Install and configure IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs and related equipment.
Perform CCTV cabling, termination, testing and troubleshooting.
Install and terminate CAT6 / network cables where required.
Configure basic network settings including IP addresses for CCTV systems.
Set up remote viewing and mobile/desktop access for customers.
Diagnose camera, recording, cabling, connectivity and power-related faults.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance.
Replace faulty cameras, power supplies, connectors and related equipment.
Carry out site surveys and assist with determining suitable camera locations.
Perform testing and commissioning after installation.
Maintain proper documentation of installation and service works.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, customers and other site personnel.
Ensure installations are neat, properly labelled and completed according to company standards.
Observe workplace and site safety requirements at all times.
Provide basic customer guidance on system operation after installation.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Candidates with experience in any of the following will have an advantage:

Wi-Fi / Networking
PA Systems
Audio-Visual Systems
Other ELV systems
REQUIREMENTS
Relevant experience in CCTV installation and maintenance preferred.
Good understanding of IP and analogue CCTV systems.
Basic networking knowledge.
Able to perform cable pulling, termination and equipment installation.
Able to use common hand and testing tools.
Able to troubleshoot technical problems systematically.
Comfortable working on ladders and at installation sites where required.
Able to work independently as well as part of a project team.
Responsible, punctual and willing to learn.
Good communication and customer service attitude.
Class 3 driving licence will be an advantage.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are particularly interested in a technician who does more than simply install cameras.
You should be someone who can understand the system, identify problems, troubleshoot faults and complete an installation professionally from start to finish.
Candidates who are familiar with both CCTV and basic networking will be highly preferred.
