CDL-A Driver | Southwest Freight Operations
Driver Responsibilities
As a regional CDL-A driver, you will:
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently
- Transport dry van freight throughout the Southwest
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain electronic logs and shipping documentation
- Comply with DOT regulations and company safety policies
Compensation
- $0.53 CPM on all dispatched miles (loaded and empty)
- Average 2,240+ miles per week
- Additional safety incentive opportunities available
- Additional $0.01 CPM for drivers with a Hazmat endorsement (endorsement not required)
- Driver Pay Protection Program available
- Weekly pay via direct deposit
Route Details
- Regional Southwest operation
- Weekly home time with a scheduled 34-hour restart
- Dry van freight
- No-touch freight
- Primarily drop-and-hook loads
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 6 months of recent Class A tractor-trailer experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must meet DOT qualification requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States

Additional Hiring Information
Drivers who have successfully completed the FMCSA SAP Return-to-Duty process may be considered if all SAP requirements have been completed and verifiable Class A driving experience has been obtained after completing the SAP program. All applicants must meet company hiring guidelines.
