Join a dedicated live haul account in Millsboro, DE, hauling live chickens from local farms to the processing facility. This is a home-daily position with approximately $80,000 average annual pay and a $5,000 bonus.

Main Yard / Starting Location

Millsboro, DE — the operation is based around Millsboro, with live chickens picked up from area farms and delivered to the Millsboro facility.

Pay Details

• $80,000 average annual gross
• Approximately $1,550 average weekly pay
• $5,000 bonus
• $0.50–$0.54 CPM
• Approximately 1,024 miles per week
• Stop pay based on experience:
  • 0–1 year: $51
  • 1–3 years: $52
  • 3+ years: $53
• Safety training: $20/hour

Job Details

• Dedicated live chicken haul operation
• Operate within a 300-mile radius of Millsboro, DE
• Pick up live chickens from various farms
• Deliver to the Millsboro facility
• Flatbed trailer with chicken cages
• Approximately 3–4 inbound loads per day
• Average 15–20 stops per week
• Drivers secure chicken cages at farms using a cheater bar
• Farm roads may include steep grades, bumps, and ditches

Shift Details

• Monday-Friday
• Start times between 12:00 PM–4:00 PM
• Required to work 1–2 Saturdays per month
• Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day off

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
• Must be comfortable working around live poultry
• Must be able to secure loads using a cheater bar
• Must safely navigate difficult farm roads and uneven terrain
• Must be comfortable with flatbed operations
• Clean driving record
• DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers
