CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Fontana, CA

Pay Details & Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $19.25
• Stop Pay: $18.71 per stop
• Average Workload: Approximately 3–6 loads per day
• Home Daily
• Night schedules available:
• • Sunday–Thursday, or
  • Tuesday–Saturday
• Drivers generally use their full 11-hour driving time; shifts may extend to the full 14-hour on-duty window depending on freight demands
• 10-hour breaks between shifts

Job Details

• Local intermodal container freight secured on chassis
• Routes across the Inland Empire and Los Angeles area, with some northbound trips through the Grapevine to the Shafter and Lebec areas
• Operations use multiple rail ramps in the greater Los Angeles area
• Mix of drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloaded freight
• Slip-seat operation: trucks are parked at the San Bernardino yard
• Automatic dispatch; drivers do not choose their routes
• Required northbound deliveries and pickups are part of the account

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience
• First-seat/experienced drivers
• Clean driving record
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers
• Must be able to follow assigned routes and work the required night schedule
