Local CDL-A Grocery Hauler – Windsor Locks, CT

Terminal Setup & Hauling Area

• Base Location: Working out of our Windsor Locks, CT terminal (you will need to arrange your own dependable daily commute).
• Region Covered: Regional food delivery routes spanning a 250-mile zone from Windsor Locks. You will service retail supermarkets and distribution hubs across New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Pennsylvania, and upstate New York, alongside heavy daily runs into the New York City Boroughs and Long Island (which make up 80% to 90% of your freight volume).
• Rig Details: Slip-seated automatic day cabs pulling 45-foot to 53-foot dry vans. Certain rigs feature lift gates, which are mandatory for city deliveries.

Pay Structure & Financial Perks

• Expected Income: Drivers pull an annual average between $90,000 and $100,000.
• Mileage & Daily Pay: Base mileage runs $0.50 to $0.52 CPM, stacked with an $85 daily rate (keep in mind you must complete all 5 scheduled workdays to retain the daily rate).
• Accessorial Earnings: Collect $17.25 per stop for standard loads, $30 per stop for driver unloads or lift gate drops, $47.50 for every drop inside the NYC Boroughs (Queens, Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn), $160 to $450 for off-account assignments, $15/hr for safety training, and $160 for holiday pay.

Roster & Shift Timing

• Start Routine: Bright and early morning departures kicking off around 3:00 AM.
• Available Schedules: Choose from several consistent shift setups:
• • Shift 1: Sunday through Thursday.
  • Shift 2: Monday through Friday.
  • Shift 3: Thursday through Monday or split days off (Sunday and Wednesday off).
• Extra Shifts: Pick up an optional 6th shift whenever you want to stack additional cash.

Qualifications & Screening Process

• Experience Needed: At least 9 months of verifiable Class-A tractor-trailer seat time under your belt.
• Drug Testing: Rigorous pre-employment testing requiring clean panels on both hair follicle and urine drug screens.
