CDL-A Semi-Local Building Materials Driver – $85K + $5K Bonus

Earn $85,000 per year on a dedicated semi-local building materials account based in Amherst, NH. Deliver doors, mouldings, stair parts, and specialty building products to repeat customers throughout New England and New York while averaging approximately 1,334 miles per week. Drivers may be home 1-2 nights per week, but home time is not guaranteed.

$85,000 per year

  • Average Weekly Pay: $1,700
  • $5,000 Bonus
  • $20/hour safety training pay
  • Steel-toed boot reimbursement up to $100 with receipt

  • Dedicated building materials account
  • Approximately 1,334 miles per week
  • Deliver doors, mouldings, stair parts, and specialty building products
  • Delivery territory: MA, NY, CT, NH, VT, ME, and RI
  • No NYC deliveries
  • Deliver to repeat customers
  • 53' curtain-side flatbed trailers
  • Freight is preloaded or customer-loaded when live loaded
  • Minimal close-quarter backing since freight is unloaded from the side
  • Trucks are 2 years old or newer
  • Automatic sleeper trucks
  • Trucks must remain at the account during time off
  • Online orientation available

Shift Details

  • Sunday-Thursday
  • Start times: 4:00 AM-5:00 AM
  • Typically 5 days out
  • May be home 1-2 nights per week, but not guaranteed
  • 12-14 hour shifts
  • Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's off

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • No SAP drivers
  • Must secure loads with straps
  • Must roll curtain sides back and forth and unstrap/re-strap freight as needed
  • No tarping required
  • Steel-toed boots required
  • No passengers
