CDL B Driver Trainee (Friday & Saturday Classes)

CDL CLASS B - DRIVER TRAINING PROGRAM
THIS PROGRAM IS FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE A CDL BUT ARE LOOKING TO EARN ONE!

Program Description:

100 contact hours (October 15 - November 20)

• Friday and Saturday - 8 hours per day
• 4 hour half day may be scheduled on a Sunday or the remaining 4 hours scheduled through out the course as needed.

Come join the industry leader as a professional driver through our training partnership with Central Piedmont Community College (“CPCC”). Together we will facilitate the opportunity for qualified individuals to obtain their Class B Commercial Driver’s License and gain career experience into the professional delivery industry. Applicants meeting the Concrete Supply Co. hiring criteria and are interested in pursuing a professional delivery career are eligible to participate.

The training program includes classroom instruction and driving skills development. Feel confident in knowing that you are getting the most comprehensive training available. Successful completion of the CPCC driver training program will result in CDL certification and an opportunity to start a local career with Concrete Supply Co.

What You’ll Earn:

Post CDL Training:

• $2,500 Sign-On Bonus upon successful completion of training and employment requirements
  • $1,000 at 90 days of full time employment
  • $1,500 at 180 days of full time employment
• $26.91/hour after obtaining your CDL B License and completing training
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Double Time on Weekends

Requirements

If you are selected for the commerical driving academy and you must agree to work for the Concrete Supply Co. for at least 1 year after finishing the academy and receiving your CDL. If you refuse to accept the job offer by Concrete Supply Co. or work less than one year, you will reimburse Concrete Supply Co. the full tuition it cost for you the be in the academy or a remaining balance of tuition if you quit before your 1 year mark.

Requirements include:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• A demonstrated committment to safety reflected in Motor Vehicle Report
• Strong work history
• Valid NC or SC Drivers License
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (days/nights)
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including:
  • Walking, bending, and stooping
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds chest-high
  • Climbing in and out of the truck cab multiple times per day
  • Handling and cleaning concrete chutes
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service
