We are seeking a safety-conscious, reliable, and experienced Class A CDL Driver to transport automotive parts, components, and materials to our manufacturing plants and customer facilities. The driver will manage the truck to ensure on-time deliveries, adhere to all safety regulations, and maintain a clean driving record.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Transport Components: Safely operate a tractor-trailer (GVW over 26,000 lbs) to deliver automotive parts.
- Load Securement: Properly secure cargo using straps, chains, and binders to prevent damage during transit.
- Route Planning: Utilize GPS and routing software to follow schedules, manage time, and meet deadlines, including in heavy traffic.
- Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, reporting maintenance issues promptly.
- Documentation: Accurately maintain electronic logs (ELD), mileage reports, and bills of lading.
- Efficiency: Perform local or regional runs, adhering to DOT hours-of-service regulations.
