We're looking for an experienced heavy haul driver who takes pride in a clean tie-down, knows how to walk a machine onto a lowboy without drama, and wants steady, year-round local work with a crew that respects the skill this job takes.
The Job at a Glance
- Pay: $25.00–$32.00 per hour / $1,000+ per week based on experience — paid weekly
- Home Time: 100% local, Greater Houston area — home every evening, no overnights
- Schedule: Monday–Friday day shifts; overtime available during peak season
- Equipment: Tractor with lowboy / RGN trailers hauling dozers, excavators, skidders, and support equipment
- Work Type: Year-round heavy civil construction — not seasonal freight

What You'll Do
- Haul heavy earthwork equipment (dozers, excavators, tractors, skidders) between our yard and active job sites across Greater Houston
- Load, unload, chain, strap, and secure machines on lowboy / RGN trailers — including side loading on tight or restricted job sites — and verify every load before it rolls
- Run thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep DOT-compliant logs (hours, service, repair status)
- Spot trailers into position working hand signals with the loading crew
- Handle basic maintenance — fluids, minor fixes — and flag anything bigger to the shop
- Confirm delivery instructions and plan routes for oversize/overweight moves when required
