CDL Class B Driver - Manual

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transport all materials (mulch, compost and soil mixes) to all Kansas City MO area and surrounding-area company site locations, retail locations, and customer addresses in a safe manner
• Travel to and between all terminal locations in and around the Kansas City MO area,
• Receive from dispatcher invoice for materials, directions to job site, and any special instructions and follow them to the detail
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and immediately report any concerns or problems
• Operate tandem and dump truck vehicles according to state and federal laws and observing all safety regulations established by the company and DOT

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess a current Class A CDL in good standing with no restrictions, and current DOT medical card
• Clean MVR with no DUIs, no major violations, and no more than a combo of 3 at-fault accidents or violations in the past 3 years
• Must have air brake endorsement
• Must have experience driving either a tandem truck or dump truck
• Must be able to drive a manual, aka "stick shift"
• Must be able to pass an extensive DOT drug screening, which includes urine, hair and breath alcohol testing
• Must be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays
• Must be comfortable driving CDL tractor-trailers of 13 speeds or higher
• Must be in good physical condition; able to lift over 50 pounds, stand and sit for long periods of time, etc.
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

• CDL Class A, or at least 3 years of CDL Class B driving experience
• Experience operating commercial vehicles with live walking floor trailers and/or floors that move
