CDL Delivery Driver

The Delivery Driver will increase operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction by safely and efficiently transporting and delivering materials to customers. This position primarily operates a 26-foot delivery truck and is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle safety, and providing professional customer service. The driver must maintain a safe driving record and possess a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to provide backup coverage for CDL delivery operations when needed. This position may also assist with warehouse operations as needed to support daily business activities.

Job Duties

• Ensure delivery vehicles and equipment are operated safely and efficiently.
• Prepare trucks for operation by assisting with loading materials, securing items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping documents.
• Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and other components to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation, with preventive maintenance in mind.
• Deliver orders using the most efficient routes to ensure complete and accurate deliveries within established time frames and according to customer needs.
• Maintain communication with the company throughout deliveries to receive updated instructions and coordinate delivery activities.
• Document deliveries, verify order accuracy, obtain customer receipts, and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, driving records, vehicle maintenance records, and other required documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Safely operate a 26-foot delivery truck and maintain a safe driving record free of violations.
• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
• Communicate professionally and positively with supervisors, sales staff, coworkers, and customers to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and other operational activities.
• Provide assistance with warehouse operations as needed to support daily business activities and maintain efficient operations.
• Assist with loading, unloading, or handling materials when necessary to support delivery operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while performing delivery-related responsibilities.
• Follow established safety guidelines and procedures and maintain a safe work environment within a drug-free workplace.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance when representing the company and interacting with customers.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and established operational guidelines.
• Provide backup coverage for Class B CDL delivery operations when needed, including operating applicable commercial vehicles, provided the employee holds the required CDL qualifications and meets all company and DOT requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must maintain a valid Class B CDL and meet all applicable DOT and company requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must meet established Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) standards to remain qualified to operate company vehicles.
• Must be able to lift up to 50–75 lbs. and frequently perform heavy pushing and pulling of product.
• Must be able to safely operate a 26-foot delivery truck.
• Forklift experience required.

Job Type: FULL-TIME

Pay: $22-$25/hr based on experience
