CDL Fleet Mechanic

We're hiring an experienced fleet mechanic with a CDL for our Fort Lauderdale repair shop. We work mostly on light and medium duty fleet vehicles — vans and box trucks — with some heavy duty trucks too. Steady work, and the bays stay full.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years as a fleet, automotive, or diesel mechanic
• Valid CDL (Class A or B) — required
• Strong diagnostic skills — you find the problem, you don't throw parts at it
• Light and medium duty experience; heavy duty a plus
• Own hand tools
• ASE certification a plus, not required
• English or Spanish

THE WORK

• Diagnostics & electrical — check engine lights, no-starts, wiring problems
• Engine and drivetrain repair on gas and diesel vehicles
• Brakes, suspension & steering
• A/C — diagnosis, leaks, compressors, evac and recharge
• Preventive maintenance (PM) on fleet vans, box trucks, and commercial vehicles
• Some heavy duty truck repair
