Our Center Manager will:
- Staffing & Hiring: Keep the center fully staffed by proactively recruiting, screening, and hiring technicians, service advisors, General Service team members, and other staff who meet center standards. Maintain accurate, complete personnel records, including any disciplinary actions reviewed with the center owner.
- Training & Coaching: Train new team members on center policies and procedures, ensure continuous training, and lead regular role play of phone, sales, and customer presentation skills. Listen to recorded calls regularly to identify areas for improvement.
- Team Leadership & Culture: Foster a positive, productive culture built on teamwork and accountability. Hold regular team meetings (per Staffing the Meineke Way) to maintain morale, reinforce procedures, and keep the center operating at the highest possible level.
- Scheduling: Create and adjust weekly schedules based on projected sales volume, absences, and demand, and plan ahead for holidays and local events that may impact sales.
- Sales Performance: Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly personal and center sales goals, beat last year's sales, proactively generate appointments, and help plan and execute promotions.
- Financial Management: Maintain a 60% gross profit margin by managing labor and COGS costs, and manage budgeting for unexpected expenses, maintenance, and training. Keep accurate daily transaction and financial records, update accounting software or P&L regularly, and track cores, returns, labor warranty claims, and vendor financials daily.
- Center Image & Maintenance: Keep the center up to Meineke Center Image Guidelines by following cleaning and maintenance schedules and proactively fixing issues. Lead by example and help the team see the center through the customer's eyes.
- Customer Experience: Put customers first and maintain a "YES COMPANY" atmosphere. Follow Meineke procedures for check-in, inspection explanations, signed work orders, and check-out, keep customers informed throughout their visit, and resolve any issues or complaints satisfactorily.
- Customer Follow-Up & Reputation: Manage the daily customer callback process, monitor online reviews and Meineke CSI scores, maintain a 70% email collection rate, and coach the team on areas of opportunity.
- Inspections, Estimates & Repair Orders: Ensure inspections are performed consistently and accurately on all vehicles. Use Mkey, Job Builder, sales packages, and ISE to build complete estimates and repair tickets. Order parts from approved vendors, verify them with technicians, assign invoices to the correct RO numbers, and confirm full documentation on every ticket (inspection sheet, estimates, work orders, final invoice, and battery test).
