Center Manager
NewBe an early applicantWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Center Manager to lead the operations and development of a community-focused center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the center as an independent entity, overseeing daily operations, building and leading a dedicated team, and ensuring the successful implementation of social, cultural, commercial, and community activities.
The successful candidate will initially work closely with management during the setup phase. Once appointed, the Center Manager will lead the recruitment, development, and management of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Develop and implement operational plans and annual objectives.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and develop team members.
- Manage schedules, staffing, and employee performance.
- Coordinate with artisans, vendors, partners, and community members.
- Organize events, workshops, exhibitions, and community activities.
- Ensure an excellent customer and visitor experience.
- Monitor budgets, revenues, expenses, and operational performance.
- Prepare periodic reports and KPIs for senior management.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and strategic partners.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and operational standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve sustainability and generate revenue.
- Support the continuous development and growth of the center and its activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Proven experience in recruitment, team building, and team development.
- Excellent organizational and project-management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in Arabic and English; French is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
- Experience in NGOs, community centers, retail, hospitality, or cultural projects is a strong advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive initiatives.
