Center Manager
About the Team
The Centers Operations division is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the TUMO learning experience across all Armenia centers. The team ensures that students move smoothly through TUMO’s learning model - combining self-learning, workshops, and project labs - while maintaining a structured, supportive, and engaging environment.
About the role
The TUMO Center Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and performance of a TUMO Center. This role ensures the delivery of an exceptional learning experience by leading a multidisciplinary team, maintaining operational excellence, fostering strong community partnerships, and supporting the successful implementation of TUMO's educational model.
Responsibilities
Operational leadership
Lead the day-to-day operations of the TUMO Center, ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery.
Ensure the effective use of center resources, including staff, facilities, technology, and equipment.
Implement and uphold TUMO policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Monitor center performance through key operational and educational metrics and implement improvement plans as needed.
Prepare regular reports and updates for the executive team on center performance and operational priorities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Operations HQ, IT, Facilities, and Communications—to optimize center performance and ensure organizational alignment.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Team Leadership & People Management
Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain a high-performing team of coaches, workshop leaders, and administrative staff.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture aligned with TUMO's values.
Provide regular coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to support professional growth.
Conduct performance evaluations and address performance concerns in a timely and constructive manner.
Support succession planning and professional development initiatives.
Lead change effectively by communicating organizational priorities and engaging staff in continuous improvement efforts.
Student Experience & Engagement
Foster an engaging, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
Oversee student recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives.
Monitor student attendance, participation, satisfaction, and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Address student and parent concerns promptly and professionally.
Work closely with the Operations HQ teams to ensure students receive a high-quality learning experience.
Educational Program Implementation
Ensure the successful implementation and consistent delivery of TUMO's educational programs and learning model.
Support the rollout of new educational initiatives, curriculum updates, and learning methodologies in collaboration with the Operations HQ team.
Monitor the impact of educational improvements and provide feedback to support continuous program enhancement.
Ensure staff understand and effectively implement educational standards and best practices.
Community Engagement & External Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, schools, municipalities, universities, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
Represent TUMO at community events, meetings, conferences, and outreach initiatives.
Host visitors, partners, donors, and delegations, serving as an ambassador for TUMO's mission and programs.
Promote awareness of TUMO's educational opportunities within the local community.
Technology, Facilities & Infrastructure
Ensure that technology infrastructure, equipment, and learning spaces support uninterrupted educational activities.
Coordinate with IT and Facilities teams to resolve technical and operational issues in a timely manner.
Monitor the condition of facilities and recommend improvements that enhance the student and staff experience.
Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and operational standards.
Planning & Resource Management
Support annual operational planning and budgeting processes.
Monitor operational expenditures and ensure responsible use of resources.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality services.
Coordinate resource planning to support current and future center needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is mandatory. Master's degree is an advantage.
5+ years of demonstrated experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop people toward shared goals.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills in both Armenian and English.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization while managing multiple priorities.
