Position: Central Operations Specialist (Parts)
Type: Fulltime Permanent
Compensation: $25.00 to $32.00 / hr. Depends on Experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Location: ANY CANADIAN VELOCITY BRANCH

The Central Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and optimising the flow of parts within an organisation, collaborating closely with various internal departments. This role will support various locations throughout the organisation.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and review accounting schedules to provide training and quality assurance within parts accounting processes
Support Parts Managers with payroll time edits in Dayforce and Procede
Develop processes and policies to continuously improve the parts department operations
Contribute to strategic projects within the parts department
Promote successful customer experiences by managing both internal and external communications
Oversee daily orders, open POs, backorder items, and open invoices
Assist AP in Processing POs and invoices in OnPhase for Vendor payments
Review suspended invoice process
Manage the parts return process for damaged or incorrect parts
Follow up on discrepancies in rebate process
Perform other related duties as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience as a billing clerk or basic accounting knowledge preferred
Proficient in remote working tools (Zoom, file sharing, etc)
Strong organizational and problem solving skills
Inventory control experience an asset
Heavy duty truck parts experience an asset
Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or similar program
