Central Services Technician (Per Diem)
Summary
Performs routine cleaning and sterilization of operating rooms, ensuring infection control and preparing rooms for procedures under supervision in a hospital setting.
The Central Services Technician is responsible for setting the daily priorities within the department under direct supervision from the O.R. Manager, Supervisor, RN, or Certified Surgical Technician. Performs a variety of routine cleaning tasks to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Operating Room.
What You'll Do:
- Ability to properly use tools and devices necessary to clean.
- Performs terminal cleans as set up by supervisors, follow policy.
- Understands how to properly use cleaning agents and compounds. Reviews the Material Safety Data sheets annually and as needed.
- Demonstrates competence in sterile techniques, infection control, and uses Standard Precaution.
- Decontaminates O.R. after procedure and sets room up for next case.

What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous housekeeping experience desirable.
Job Information:
- 12-hour varied shifts, per diem.
- Starting wage $23.18 to $28.10 based on qualifications.
