Certification Scheme Executive
Summary
Oversee and improve Singapore’s green building product certification scheme, aligning criteria with industry standards and supporting technical committees with administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Govern the Singapore Green Building Product (SGBP) certification scheme, driving regular enhancements to ensure certification criteria remain robust, market-relevant and aligned with industry best practices
- Conduct market research and technical feasibility studies through tabletop research and engage with product manufacturers to track industry advancements and benchmark certification requirements
- Monitor and analyse updates to local Codes of Practice and Standards, adapting scheme criteria to ensure continuous alignment
- Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support for technical committees/workgroups, including correspondence preparation, meeting coordination and recording of minutes
- Monitor and track certification criteria development projects, ensuring deadlines are met and follow-up actions are completed
- Maintain robust record-keeping and file management systems while upholding confidentiality of sensitive materials
Requirements:
- Degree in Building, Engineering, Science, Business Administration or a related discipline
- At least 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Prior experience in certification schemes, construction procurement, or building product manufacturing will be an advantage
- Able to work independently and is detail-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
