Certified Derm Tech / Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Medical Assistant/Derm Techs to join our growing team. The MA supports our exceptional Mohs Surgeons by providing both clinical and administrative support, including patient rooming, taking histories, assisting with biopsies, scribing in EMR, completing referral letters from the EMR, preparing surgical trays, and educating patients. They ensure clinic efficiency by managing supplies, sterilizing instruments, and handling pathology specimens. This is a full time, Mon-Friday position.

• Clinical Duties: Rooming patients, recording vitals, reviewing medical histories, updating medications, and prepping for exams.
• Procedural Assistance: Assisting with skin cancer screenings, biopsies, excisions, Mohs surery, cryotherapy, and cosmetic injections.
• Scribing/Documentation: Documenting patient encounters, including chief complaints and treatment plans in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Patient Education & Care: Providing pre- and post-operative instructions, removing sutures, and applying dressings.
• Administrative Duties: Managing pathology logs, processing prior authorizations for medications, cleaning/sterilizing instruments, completing charts, PA's, sending referral acknowledgments and restocking exam rooms

Skills and Qualifications:

- Certification as Medical Assistant or Derm Tech

- Knowledge of Dermatological procedures is a plus

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
