- Administers prescribed medication via inhalation and oxygen therapy according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments accurately and timely.
- Educates patients and family members about illnesses and clinical interventions.
- Adheres to department standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensures patient documentation is accurate and complete.
- Cleans and stocks respiratory equipment regularly.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must possess good verbal and written communications skills. [Required]
- Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently [Required]
- Knowledge of outpatient hospital services. [Required]
- Ability to work closely with physicians. [Required]
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge, training and experience in hyperbaric chamber maintenance and minor repair [Preferred]
- Operational knowledge of NFPA99, gas handling, Hyperbaric Safety Codes, PVHOI and 2 CGA and other safety related Guidelines. [Preferred]
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- Vocational/Technical School [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- Completion of a 40 hour Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine Society (UHMS) or National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine Technology (NBDHMT) approved Hyperbaric Medicine Introductory Course Required
Work Experience:
- 1+ year of clinical hyperbaric experience [Preferred]
