Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join Forward Health. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health settings. As a Medical Assistant at Forward Health, you will play a key role in supporting the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care. Working closely with providers, you will assist with clinical tasks, streamline workflows, and help ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare exam rooms and patient care areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Assist providers with patient care by performing diagnostic tests, recording vital signs, and preparing/administering medications.
• Review patients' medical history, gather updated health information, and document findings in the EHR while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Perform administrative tasks, including processing medical record requests, coordinating specialist visits and referrals, and managing patient check-in/check-out.
• Educate patients by explaining medical instructions, post-care guidelines, and preventive care measures.
• Must be willing to alternate work sites between Columbus and Groveport.
