What You'll Do
💊 Be a Medication Champion
You'll help residents stay healthy and safe by:
- Administering medications according to physician orders, Rhode Island regulations, and Tamarisk policies
- Practicing the "Five Rights" of medication administration
- Accurately documenting medications and resident responses
- Administering medications through approved routes
- Monitoring for side effects or concerns and promptly communicating with nursing staff
- Supporting residents with professionalism, care, and attention to detail
❤️ Provide Meaningful, Person-Centered Care

- Honoring individual preferences, choices, and independence
- Creating a welcoming, homelike atmosphere
- Supporting residents' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being

🤝 Help Residents Live Their Best Day
You'll assist residents with daily activities while encouraging independence and engagement by:
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Taking and recording vital signs
- Observing and reporting changes in resident condition
- Responding promptly to requests for assistance
- Encouraging participation in activities, friendships, and community life
🌼 Support Residents Living with Memory Loss
If working in Memory Care, you'll help create moments of connection and comfort by:
- Using dementia-friendly communication techniques
- Creating calm, reassuring interactions
- Participating in meaningful engagement activities
- Helping residents feel secure, understood, and respected
- Recognizing behaviors as communication and responding with empathy
🛡️ Promote Safety and Well-Being
You'll help maintain a safe environment by:
- Following infection control and safety procedures
- Supporting emergency preparedness efforts
- Maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality
- Practicing safe resident handling techniques
- Protecting the well-being of residents by reporting concerns immediately
