Certified Nurse Assistant

A hospice CNA's duties include the following: Personal care: Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, hygiene, and toileting. They help maintain the patients' dignity and comfort while respecting their preferences.

**Job Overview:**

As a Certified Nurse Assistant at Essence Hospice Care of Arizona, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with activities of daily living and ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times.

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, hygiene, and toileting

- Assist patients with mobility and transfers

- Monitor and report changes in patients' condition to the nursing staff

- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients

- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families

- Follow care plans and communicate effectively with the healthcare team

**Requirements:**

- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

- Previous experience in a hospice or healthcare setting preferred

- Compassionate and empathetic attitude

- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

- Must pass a background check (Note: Essence Hospice Care of Arizona does not inquire about criminal backgrounds as per regulations)
