Certified Nursing Assistant

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and within the limitations of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, the Emergency Certified Nursing Assistant/Emergency Medical Technician/Nursing Assistant delivers Emergency care consistent with the job description. Administers competent care to any patient seeking physiological or psychological health care presenting to this Emergency Department. The delivery of care includes data collection, documentation, and implementation of nursing interventions as delineated in Bates County Memorial Hospital’s policies and procedures/Nursing Structural Standards. ED CNA/EMT/NA will assist the nursing staff by providing efficient clerical and other office duties under the direction of the ED RNs, as well as the Emergency Department Manager. The ED CNA/EMT/NA provides services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Bates County Memorial Hospital.

Experience and Education:

· BLS upon hire or within 3 months and participate in yearly recertification.

· Active Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant certification in good standing OR

· Active Missouri Emergency Medical Technician certification in good standing OR

· Nursing Assistant* (Successful completion of 2nd Semester of RN Nursing School)
