Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe/West Monroe is currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team!

Our Monroe/West Monroe facility is an 82-bed acute care behavioral health hospital specializing in mental and behavioral health services for the geriatric population. We provide inpatient and outpatient treatment services designed to meet the unique needs of older adults.

As a CNA, you will play an important role in providing hands-on patient care, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient needs, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment. You will work closely with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive quality, compassionate care.

Our CNAs are an essential part of our team! You are often the staff members who spend the most time with our patients. Your patience, compassion, attention to detail, and ability to recognize changes in patient conditions can make a meaningful difference in their care and overall well-being.

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Obtain and record vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and fall prevention.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Monitor patient behaviors and communicate concerns to nursing and clinical staff.
• Provide emotional support, encouragement, and compassionate care to patients.
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and daily care routines as directed.
• Follow infection control procedures, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
• Participate in crisis prevention and de-escalation interventions as trained.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and professional boundaries.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the CNA scope of practice.

What Makes a Great CNA?

• Current Louisiana CNA certification is required.
• Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, geriatrics, or hospital settings is preferred.
