- Help participants further develop practical skills for semi-independent living, including household management, time organization, meal planning and preparation, nutrition, shopping, budgeting, scheduling, and use of community resources.
- Teach and reinforce routines, visual supports, checklists, compensatory strategies, and other tools that promote consistency, safety, and independence.
- Develop and facilitate therapeutic, social, leisure, or skill-building groups as assigned.
- Accompany participants on community outings or to appointments when clinically appropriate.
- Monitor participant performance and progress, communicate observations and concerns to the supervising OT, and collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of services, participant response, progress, and relevant recommendations.
- Follow organizational procedures, professional standards, HIPAA requirements, and established safety and reporting expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Michigan.

Essential Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively under OT supervision.
