Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe and efficient pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prescription Processing:

• Receive and process new and refill prescriptions.
• Verify prescription details and update patient profiles.
• Prepare medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging.
• Ensure accuracy and readiness for pharmacist review.

Customer Service:

• Greet patients and answer phone calls professionally.
• Assist patients with prescription pickups and refer medication questions to the pharmacist.
• Ensure patients receive counseling for new prescriptions.

Inventory Management:

• Order, receive, and store medications and supplies.
• Check expiration dates and remove outdated items.
• Maintain inventory records and assist with audits.

Pharmacy Operations:

• File prescriptions and maintain documentation.
• Help train new staff and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Operate pharmacy software for billing, reporting, and inventory tracking.

Team Communication:

• Report issues to supervisors and suggest improvements.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude with patients and coworkers.
